Problems with dealing with anger and disagreements using social media

There’s never been a time in human history where you could publish your first pass opinion about anything to 20 million people in one second. No one could ever do that. We are not neurologically constructed to live in a world where you can yell at 10 million people whenever you want about anything. - Jordan Peterson

One of the things that is wrong with social media is that they effectively makes people behave like psycopaths. If you just look at X, you would think that there are many more psycopaths in the world than there are, in fact. You would see people who you know that, in every other context would be psycologically normal, or at least, normal enough, behave like psycopaths to you, towards you, in front of you. And in some cases, they are people you actually know. You know that what you are seeing on X would have been impossible across the table from you at dinner. This should convice you to get off of it.
