Write down your decision-making criteria whenever you make a decision

Experience teaches us certain things.

It is invaluable to reflect on and write down our decision-making criteria whenever we make a decision. - Principles, Ray Dalio

So, get in the habit of doing that.

The decisions that I take can turn out to be correct or incorrect. But I need to be able to reflect on the reasons for the decision and learn from the experiences. This is why writing the reasons down is very important.

Examples:

  1. Why did you move to a specific city?
  2. Why did you apply for a job? Or, start working in a job?
